What we built

Instagram orders your Following list by familiarity — accounts you interact with most, mutual connections, accounts the algorithm thinks you'd recognize. It does not order by time. The result is that an account you followed yesterday can sit deep in the list, hidden behind older follows. Auditing "who did this account add recently" through Instagram's native interface is therefore tedious to the point of impossible — and this is deliberate product design, not an oversight.

RavenTracker reads the same public data Instagram exposes, re-sorts it by date, and presents the 20 most recent follows or followers in chronological order. No Instagram login, no app to install, no notification to the account being viewed. The free tier shows a preview; the Pro tier ($3.99/week) removes limits and shows the full window. You can try the tracker on any public Instagram account immediately.

Who uses it

• People with personal questions. The largest single use case. Someone wants to check what a partner, ex, or person of interest recently engaged with publicly. The partner-check guide covers the structured workflow.
• Brand and communications teams. When a competitor's account suddenly follows three journalists and a boutique production company in the same week, that cluster often precedes coordinated coverage. Public-data follow tracking surfaces it before announcements.
• Creators and analysts. Tracking what micro-communities an influencer is entering — new follows of niche tools, regional collectives, partner brands — signals where attention (and budget) is moving.
• Researchers and journalists. Public-graph monitoring without account creation, without notification, without the cost of manual scrolling.

What we don't do

• • We don't access private accounts. Private is private.
• • We don't expose direct messages. DMs are end-to-end private.
• • We don't ask for your Instagram password. We never need it.
• • We don't notify the account being viewed. Reading public data is silent.
• • We don't sell user data. The Privacy Policy spells out exactly what we collect and why.

RavenTracker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, LLC, or Meta Platforms, Inc. We read the same public data anyone with a browser can read. The tool is built to answer a specific question — "what is this account doing with follows recently?" — that Instagram's native interface deliberately doesn't answer.
